I Make It Rien x Cowpen Cat 

Marilyn is the first foal produced out of our mare Holly. She was much anticipated and grew to be the horse we imagined she could be! Marilyn has done excellent in the show pen. At age 3  she was shown in the Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity, by age 4 she earned her AQHA ROM. By age five she qualified for AQHA VRH world show and the AQHA Congress world show. Marilyn has shown at the WRHA world show taking home a couple world titles.

Star (2019)  is out of one of our original mares Jane. Star has had limited showing but holds points in AQHA VRH events! Always top in the conformation classes. Star will continue to be shown before producing any foals. We are excited to see Star shine!

Ana  (2013) was a promising filly barely started at two when she suffered a career ending injury. She was chased through a fence by a wild boar and severely cut her hind legs. Miraculously, Ana healed and recovered to be broodmare sound. Ana had an outstanding stop and draw that came to her naturally. Ana has produced some nice foals for us. Two of which are out doing great and one filly that we decided to keep for ourselves. We are excited about Ana's offspring and feel blessed with each foal she produces. 

Tomcat Chex x Cinnamon Knot

Holly (2009) is an own daughter of Tomcat Chex out of a 6666 Ranch bred mare by Texas Stray. We saw Holly and bought her from the NRCHA Futurity. She was shown and made top 10 in the limited open. We were not shopping at the time. Holly was a standout, platinum mane and a lot of size. For a three yr old she was notably stout and mature. We decided to try her and make an offer. Little did we know what a blessing she would be to our family. We showed her from four years old and on. She was consistent and uncompleted to haul and show. She now produces foals for us that are extremely trainable. We have kept all the fillies out of Holly to this point.

Just Plain Colonel x Hot Peppernic

 Nikki (2008) has been a wonderful mare for us. She has been with was since she was 18mo old. Started and trained by Susan then shown by Susan and Katie in AQHA and Ranch Versatility and stock horse. 

Nikki is Sired by Just Plain Colonel out of the mare Hot Peppernic ( Smart Little Peppinic x Docs Hotshot ). Nikki has been an outstanding mare, trainable and very ranch savy. She is notably fast and cowy! We have kept a daughter of Nikki by our stallion I Make It Rien.

Missy (2008) was born in Fresno State QH Unit's breeding program. She was shown and loved by her life long owner Chuck Smallwood. We have had the pleasure of knowing Missy for most of her life and participated in her training. Now we are blessed to add her to our program as a lesson horse and broodmare. Missy is a stunning mare. Sired by Reminics Pep out of Fresnos Misty Pavo ( Pavo De Peppy x Bar Jay Bee )

Delilah (2015) is our first foal by Porter, out of our mare Darla! Dee has had a great career in barrels with her previous owner. After HMR bought her back Brooke also had a great few years of running her. Dee has won  many buckles, saddles and thousands in cash prizes. 2024 Dee had her first foal by AGR Clark Kent!  We are excited to see what Dee can bring into our breeding program and watch the next generation unfold.

Darla ( 2000 ) is one of our older mares. We have owned her since she was 5 years old. Trained and shown by Brooke in cutting and cowhorse. Darla has a dynamic personality and has that forever young attitude. She is used in our lesson program and now retired from being a momma. We currently have 2 of her daughters by I Make It Rien that we are loving. Darla is sired by Olenas Holey Sox out of Arlan’s Smart girl ( Smart Cash Cutter x Traveler Barred )

Just Plain Colonel x Rema Chex

 

 

Jane (2001-2024) was an HMR original. Sired by Just Plain Colonel, out of Rema Chex ( Susan’s first American Quarter Horse ). Jane was one of the first to be born and raised at HMR. Jane was a precious mare, full grit and spice with a willing mind. She was on track for the Snaffle Bit Futurity when just weeks before she was injured. After her time off Jane came back and was shown by Susan, Brooke and Katie in stock horse, cowhorse, cutting and various of open shows. At the age of 12 she suffered from several rattle snake bites, that permanently retired her from showing. Jane gave many children lessons and taught them what a good broke horse should ride like, she was the ultimate push button horse. Jane has given us several beautiful babies, two of which we have kept to carry on her spirit for HMR.

Roxie (2009) has been involved in our lives from the moment she was born. Bred and raised by Robbie Humphrys (Owner of That CD Rocks) we saw Roxie hours after she was born. Purchased by our good friend Terry and trained by HMR and Terry as a team. Roxie later she shown by a family member in the WRHA and won several World Titles in 2023. We then had the opportunity to buy her and "keep her in the family".  Roxie is a cherished member of our HMR. She has produced one foal, he is out doing great things as a rope and ranch horse! Roxie is currently being ridden and shown by Holly. We look forward to their show career together!

  Gracie (2017) came to us as a late 4yr old from Oklahoma. We chose to add Gracie to our program becuse of our love for Holly horse. Little did we know how wonderful and special Gracie would be. She is our tiny mighty, short and STOUT sweet and loving girl. Gracie is our grab and go, do any job mare. She has not been shown yet, but her value to us as a lesson horse and ranch horse has surpassed any show earning in our eyes. We are still finishing her as a cowhorse/ cutter with plans of showing her. Gracie is sired by Tomcat Chex out of Dualena Playgirl NCHA earner ( Freckles Playboy x Dual Pep )
